A Wedding Chair Project That Required More Than Appearance
China World recently helped a Dubai customer source 400 wedding chairs from China.
The customer was looking for elegant white and gold chairs for weddings, banquets, hotels and event venues. The chairs needed to have an attractive appearance, but they also needed to be strong, stable and suitable for repeated handling during event setup and storage.
During the first sample inspection, China World noticed that the backrest thickness did not meet the customer’s expectations. Although the sample looked attractive, the backrest was not thick enough for the customer’s required level of strength and durability.

The First Sample Did Not Meet the Requirement
For wedding and banquet furniture, the backrest is an important structural and visual part of the chair.

After reviewing the first sample, China World asked the factory to redesign and adjust the backrest according to the customer’s requirements.
The revised design used a 5 mm backrest thickness. The factory then prepared an improved sample for further checking.
The revised sample was reviewed for:

- Overall shape and proportion

- Visual appearance from the front and rear
- Suitability for bulk production
The purpose was not simply to make the backrest thicker. The updated design also needed to remain balanced with the chair frame and maintain the refined appearance expected from wedding furniture.
After the design adjustment, the product was closer to the customer’s expected standard and ready for the next production stage.
A Sealed Finish Designed to Improve Rust Resistance
In addition to the backrest thickness, China World also discussed the surface treatment of the chair frame with the factory.
Wedding chairs are often transported, stored and used in different environments. Moisture, humidity, handling and long-term storage can affect an unprotected metal surface.
For this reason, the factory developed a sealed protective finish for the chair frame. The finish was intended to improve resistance to oxidation and reduce the risk of rust during normal storage and use.
The surface treatment was checked for:
- Even color and gloss
- Smoothness of the coated surface
- Coverage around the frame
- Visible scratches or exposed metal
- Coating consistency between chairs
- Protection of edges and connection areas
The finish helped preserve the white and gold appearance of the wedding chairs while providing an additional layer of surface protection.
The final specifications were confirmed according to the revised sample and the customer’s approved requirements.
Inspecting the 400 Wedding Chairs Before Shipment
After the improved design was approved, the factory proceeded with the 400-piece order.
China World continued following the production process and arranged a final inspection before shipment. The inspection was carried out to check whether the mass-produced chairs were consistent with the improved sample.
The final inspection included:

Careful Packing for International Delivery
After inspection, the chairs were individually protected and packed for international transportation.
The packing process was checked to reduce the risk of scratches, impact and surface damage during loading and handling. The chairs were organized in cartons and prepared for shipment to the Dubai customer.
